The Good Shepherd

Welcome to our service of Holy Communion for Sunday 30 April, the day on which we remember Jesus as the Good Shepherd. It is also the day of our APCM, during which we review 2022. Rev Sue will preside.

We began with the hymn “The King of Love my Shepherd is”:

Rev Sue’s address was interactive, and she gathered single words from the congregation that summed up why they attend each week. The list included hymns, fellowship, prayer, care, peace, duty, music, family, faith, love, thankfulness, belonging, consolation, togetherness, friendship, belief, and community. The anthem offered whilst communion was distributed was “He Shall Feed His Flock”, from Handel’s “Messiah”:
