Sadly we have not been able to meet in person during the pandemic and lockdowns, but Rev Deborah has looked after us with online services, and we contributed to the Christmas appeal for the homeless with parcels filled with Socks, gloves, toiletries and chocolate. 25 of these parcels were donated to the Booth centre. Also, Manchester diocese used Zoom to hold our Autumn Council.
We continue to use prayer as our greatest tool in these troubled times.
At our Deanery Festival prior to lockdown, our friend Dorothy was presented with a long service award, for 67 years of loyal service. It was made even more special as it was presented by our president Kath Hilton. It was a lovely service and many thanks to Carol Olive who wrote it. I think we chose some really lovely and very appropriate hymns to go with our theme of Faith in Action. We all enjoyed our tea and delicious cakes!
We meet on the first Friday of each month from 2.00-4.00pm in Church House.

This is the Mothers’ Union prayer:
We thank you for your love so freely given to us all.
We pray for families around the world.
Bless the work of the Mothers’ Union as we seek to share you love through encouragement, strengthening and support of marriage and family life.
Empowered by your spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world.
In Jesus’ name,
