Third Sunday of Advent: John the Baptist

Good morning and welcome to our service of Holy Communion for the third Sunday of advent, in which we observe the role of John the Baptist in Christ’s story. We began with the hymn “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel”. The first verse was an unaccompanied solo, sung in Latin:
