Good morning and welcome to our service of Holy Communion for Sunday 12 September, the 15th after Trinity. We continue with the theme of Creationtide, this week focussing on God’s abundance.
This morning also sees the licencing of Rev Sue as Associate Priest in our parish, by Bishop Mark who will also preach.
It’s quite a musical morning, and we began with Tom playing our Patronal Festival medley on the organ:
The opening hymn was “Great is Thy Faithfulness”
The service was livestreamed here: https://fb.watch/7ZH1Gx4RPd/
The anthem offered by Carol and Tom whilst communion was distributed was “He Shall Feed His Flock” from “Messiah” (G F Handel):
We finished with the hymn “Let all the World in Every Corner Sing”:
Of course, we didn’t finish there! After welcoming Rev Sue with a box of treats, there was plentiful abundance offered in the Church House, in the form of tea, coffee, wine, soft drinks and some utterly delicious vegan chocolate cake – recipe to be shared in the magazine soon!
