National Day of Reflection

Tuesday 23 March 2021 is the anniversary of the first national lockdown in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, and has been declared a National day of Reflection.

Rev Deborah offers this short reflection of prayer, readings and music. It will be available to watch – and re-watch – indefinitely.

St Margaret’s will be open from 12.00 noon – 2.00pm for private prayer, beginning with a minute silence. The bell will toll at 12.01pm in memory of all those lost to the pandemic.

At 8.00pm we are all encouraged to Shine a Light on our doorsteps as a national act of remembrance.

Our online services of Peregrini Morning Prayer and Compline (both available on the parish Facebook page) will also reflect the theme of the day.

There are resources on the Marie Curie website to help with further resources for the day, including helping others to cope with their bereavements.

St Margaret’s Church Prestwich holds CCLI licences CCL 79250, MRL 775231 and 466111 for music streaming and One Licence M-40120 for music streaming.
