Welcome to our service to celebrate Candlemas – the Presentation of Jesus in the temple. It also includes the blessing of our candles to be used in worship during the coming year.
All the candles that were blessed this morning were sponsored my those members of the congregation able to get to church with a donation.
Like so many organisations, our finances have been hit hard during the pandemic. Income (mainly cash donations) has plummeted, whilst our running costs have remained the same. We have also chosen to invest in infrastructure to enable live streaming and pre-recording our services.
