Holy Week is a special time for Christians as we follow Jesus path towards the cross and ultimately, on Easter Sunday, celebrate his resurrection, Although we cannot meet together for our journey through Holy Week, there will be either a service or reflection online every day.
PALM SUNDAY: 9.30am Blessing of the Palms which will be followed by our 9.45 Holy Communion Service
MONDAY: 7.00pm A reflection on Jesus cleansing the temple
TUESDAY: 7.00pmA reflection on Mary anointing Jesus’ feet
WEDNESDAY: 7.00pm A reflection on Judas betraying Jesus
MAUNDY THURSDAY: 7.00pm Holy Communion for Maundy Thursday followed by the stripping of the altar
GOOD FRIDAY: 9.45am A Good Friday order of service for Holy Week based on St. George’s usual format for you to read through and reflect on for yourself.
2.00pm Good Friday Service of nails and veneration of the cross
SATURDAY: 7.00pm A short reflection on Jesus’ burial
EASTER SUNDAY: 9.45 Holy Communion, a celebration of the risen Christ with music
