During the course of 2024 the PCC held 8 meetings. These were very well attended with always an 80% of the members attending.
In April we welcomed Rev. Steve Williams to be in overall charge of both St Margaret’s and St George’s churches. This was in addition to his continued service at St Gabriel’s.
The PCC has once again had a very busy year having lots of decisions to be made regarding the fabric and buildings at both churches and the halls. The repairs to the roof at St Margaret’s finally started and as part of the guttering fell down, we had to have it all replaced. St George’s entrance gates were in a dangerous condition and were replaced. The boilers at both churches and at the Lady Wilton Hall have given us a lot of concerns over the last 12 months and the PCC will need to address these concerns over the next 12 months. The ongoing repairs are always expensive and there have been difficult decisions have had to be made as to the priorities at each church and hall. We continue to fund raise to help these projects and ask for your support in the coming year.
A big thank you to our Wardens at both Churches who have worked so hard on your behalf to continue our services at both Churches. There is so much work that goes unseen throughout the year and we give thanks for all the time and effort they have given in the last 12 months.
