A Cherry Tree for Rev Deborah

At 10.00am on Thursday 7 July, children. staff and governors from St Margaret’s CE Primary School met with Rev Deborah’s sisters as well as clergy, wardens and gardeners from St Margaret’s church to plant a cherry tree in memory of Rev Deborah.

Each of the ten children helped to plant and water the tree, guided by our gardener, Warren. Each child was also given a seed card to tear up and plant with the tree, and another to take home and plant in Rev Deborah’s memory.

A cherry tree was chosen by the children of St Margaret’s school as it will blossom each year at about the time of Rev Deborah’s birthday, and the flowers will be in her favourite colour, pink.

St Margaret’s Church Prestwich holds CCLI licences CCL 79250, MRL 775231 and 466111 for music streaming and One Licence M-40120 for music streaming.
