St Margaret's Church Prestwich

Whilst on a trip to Dorset in August, visiting relatives and National Trust Properties, we visited Lawrence of Arabia’s forest retreat (very different). Whilst there a visit to the church in Moreton was recommended, as the place Lawrence’s funeral took place and his final resting place. The church was very pretty but had etched windows in the bay window behind the alter instead of stained glass. This was because a Luthwaffe bomb destroyed the original bay windows and stained glass in 1940 and when it was rebuilt the Windows where etched instead.
