“Growth” is the second phase of our parish Mission Action Plan, which was preached and blogged about here and here.
Events planned so far for our Year of Growth include:
- Lent Course – exploring prayer through the arts
- Family Friday Worship
- Week of Dedication – with daily live music for prayer and meditation
- Stations of the Cross – with a Passion Trail in Heaton Park
- St George’s Festival
- Sunday School Anniversary Weekend – including a family barbecue and games in the vicarage garden
- Staycation Week
- Parish Retreat – to Parceval Hall
- Family Fun Days
- Harvest Weekend of Talents – with a display of arts and crafts and a Deep South Gospel concert by the Chris Walker Swingtet
