Anniversary Sunday this year was on 26 June. The Sunday School children were active leaders in the service, preparing prayers, forming the Offertory party, and singing three anthems – Thank you Lord, End of Year Blessing, Song of Blessing, and they also sang a lovely setting of Psalm 23 during Communion. Every child received a book prize in recognition of their commitment to Sunday School over the past year.
After the service, Sunday School hosted a barbecue for all the church family on the vicarage lawn. It was well attended, and the weather was kind to us by not raining for a couple of hours. After we’d had our fill of sausages and burgers it was time for relay races up and down the lawn, great fun for all ages.
After a well deserved summer break, Sunday School will reopen on 4 September. New children are always welcome.
