St Margaret Prestwich

Prestwich and Kersal Mission Community

St Margaret’s and St George’s are both members of Prestwich and Kersal Mission Community within the Bury and Rossendale Deanery.

Parish Buildings

St Margaret's Church, St George's Church, St Margaret's Church House, St Margaret's Community Centre and the Lady Wilton Hall (Simister) are all available for hire. Please submit your enquiries via the Contact Page.

  • Sunday club January 18, 2026 at 9:45 am – 11:15 am St Margaret's Church Hall, St Margaret's Road, Prestwich Sunday Club is for children from 3 years old, and meets twice monthly - in church on the first Sunday of the month for All Age Worship, and on the third Sunday in the church hall for breakfast, singing, stories, games and craft activities. Please contact us to book your child's place.

Weekly Services

St Margaret’s Church serves the Holyrood district of Prestwich; St George’s Church serves Simister. Sunday Services at St Margaret’s are at 8am (Holy Communion), 9.45am (Sung Eucharist) and 4pm on some Sundays (said, style varies, check the calendar below). Sunday services at St George’s are at 11.15am. St Margaret’s also offers a service of Holy Communion at 10am every Wednesday.
