Holy week, this most holy of weeks. The week that the whole of Jesus life and ministry has been leading up to. It really is a rollercoaster of a week, from the triumph of the entry into Jerusalem to Jesus’ trial and execution at the end. What a story! Jesus told us to tell his story and this is the crescendo of it, it all comes up to the final week of his life. He celebrates his final meal with his friends, he’s arrested, sentenced to death, dies and is buried in a tomb … More Holy Week

So let us step into today’s story with the disciples, hiding behind locked doors for fear of the authorities … More John 20:19-31 – The Locked Room

May is often a beautiful time of year, late spring with gardens at their best and days becoming longer. In the church we have endured the discipline of Lent, walked with Christ the Way of the Cross and celebrated his resurrection on Easter Sunday. We can relax for a while, enjoying his presence with us, until at Pentecost we are energised by the sending of his Holy Spirit … More Rev Sue’s Letter to the Parish for May
It is lovely to be with you on this Maundy Thursday, that special day in the church’s year when we recall the Last Supper, the Footwashing and the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed; it feels like too much for one day rather like a triple decker chocolate cake from Slattery’s! … More Maundy Thursday Sermon
